Honors Physics

Honors physics is the study of motion, forces, energy & momentum. Experimentation, demonstrations, problem-solving and associated readings are all part of the course. Students will learn the scientific method of problem-solving and learn to apply it successfully in the laboratory. Honors Physics is intended for students who have distinguished themselves in mathematics and science. It is a particularly math intensive course and consequently students are expected to be working above grade-level in mathematics. Students planning to pursue careers in medicine, engineering, or other science fields should take this course.
